Animal Spotting Excitement (Chaos!)

"There, there, Oryx!!" , "Where?, where? ................. "There!"

"I did not see it, where was it?" "Silly ... , of course you did not, you were looking the wrong way!"

Only 2 weeks in and we experienced several overly excited animal spotting moments that got the adrenaline levels in the car shooting through the roof. and out of every window available. From penguins, whales and dolphins to springbok, oryx's, eland antilope and jackals, to even turtles (slowly crossing the road!), to giraffes and ostriches, every time the excitement gets the best of us all!

We needed a better system as the created chaos with limbs and heads of 4 bodies going from left to right, back and forth through "Bessie's living quarters" (Bessie is our beloved Toyota land cruiser) was not having the expected spotting results we were hoping for.

No rocket science solution, but the clock has been agreed on as the best compass for us to indicate the direction of the spotted wildlife. With Bessie's big white hood at 12 o'clock sharp. Our success rate has shot up like a hot air balloon and a nice added bonus is that we live in peace again in our lovely tiny house on wheels.

Mijke spotted 2 giraffes just outside of the Fish river canyon, which has, without a doubt been the highlight spot of the trip so far. We are ready for what's to come.
